Ahren has done it again. She can write a wonderful hot sexy alpha who completely takes care of his love. Meet Maxwell a sexy CEO who is ruthless and demands respect. Stella is a dedicated loyal smart woman who instantly attracts Maxwell. The sexual tension between these two is off the charts. Max has many secrets that he has a hard time sharing with Stella which could be his downfall. Stella needs complete honesty from him and she will support him. Will Maxwell come clean completely before Stella finds out his secrets from "other" sources? I was caught up in the story right from the beginning with this awesome writing that Ahren Sanders does. She knows how to ingage and keep her readers interested in her stories. You will fall in love with Max even his flaws because he will do anything to protect the people he loves and Stella is a strong female character who doesn't put up with crap. Thank you Ahren for writing another amazing love story with a HEA

Stella Sullivan owns an up and coming small PR firm in Atlanta. She leads her company with a strong work ethic, determination to succeed and a reputation of integrity. The opportunity for Stella to take the lead on a project that would project her company to another level in the business world is too much for her not to go for. With her plan polished and her presentation ready, she walks into her meeting motivated to prove even though her company is small, it still has the best plan for the recovery of Hurst & McCoy’s failing reputation. What Stella had not expected was the powerful presence and appeal of CEO, Maxwell McCoy. From the moment their eyes meet Stella is trapped by everything that is Max and is unequivocally his!
Something is terribly wrong with his company and the indications are that it is coming from within. Since his father’s death and the assumption of his position as CEO of Hurst & McCoy, Maxwell McCoy has been fighting to right the wrongs inside his company and to find out who is behind the damage that has done. He needs a PR company to come in and help clean up the reputation of his company that is being threatened. Max did not expect the instant recognition of his other half when he attended the interview with Stella Sullivan. She was the one and he would be forever changed. Would I recommend this author: Yes! I have yet to read a book by Ms. Sanders that does not have a well-defined plot with extremely hot characters. Cannot wait for her next book!

Smokin' hot and full of intrigue

I dove into the book not sure what to expect. I've read the author's previous works and other than a few common elements, they were drastically different. This one is the same in that manner. It has high stakes suspense and quite a bit of steam as well as some loyal friends and family in the intelligent heroine's pocket. But the main plot and the various twists and turns are not comparable to a single book I have read. This is a challenge for any book due to the volume out there but for an author to transition so seamlessly from book to book within a genre and still manage to pull together something unique is even more impressive to me. I suppose it is all of those companion series' that are making me cynical. But there are a lot of books out there that end up being rather formulaic, with appropriate substitutions here and there.
The heroine is intelligent and hard working; she is practical yet has a huge heart. The hero is just alpha enough to pull you in but never behaves in a cold manner or goes too far. In fact, he is probably the only alpha male character that I could probably tolerate in real life. I was concerned that there was going to be major drama down the road due to the hero's complicated life and his choice not to unload the details on the heroine all at once but, fortunately, there wasn't a whole lot of resulting drama. I prefer the majority of conflict to be from external forces rather than the character's own ignorance and mistakes so I was pleased the author took that route.
The writing itself was smooth with logical transitions throughout. There were no continuity errors or excessive grammatical or spelling errors (my review copy was pre-final editing but it had still clearly gone through spell check). If you want a break from the monotony of contemporary billionaire romances, you will enjoy this book.
