Ok, so, we've all seen DM screens. Most look like folders you used as a kid in school that you can stand up and have information behind them, and are generally just as flimsy. Not Deathwatch. It's got some weight to it.

For the first time players of deathwatch, it has some really nice scenes on the outside, including the imposing space marine cadre from the front of the book, which frankly to me, look very imposing.

Behind it, it's chalk full of information for you to use to help you keep this game under control.

It also comes with an adventure, which I haven't gone over compeltely yet, but wasn't thrilled with it being printed on somehwat of a comic book or catagloue paper. However, it does have a full listing of characters in the back for your Jericho reach campagins and seeds to use them for, but sadly, no actual stats for them.

I like that it's a very nice DM screen. One that won't fall over or rip like I've seen others do, but I wish the adventure inside was printed on something a bit more keepable.

Very nice except for 1 problem.

As far as GM screens go this was very clean compared to many ive seen for other table tops. Information is easy to find, the fonts are not too small. It has item tables, weapon variables, weapon ranges, weapon damage, action list, etc etc.

Only issue is it tore on the print side with just a bit of torque between two of the boards. It did not tear all the way through but enough to be plainly visible. Only reason it did not receive 5 stars.

Would highly recommend for a Deathwatch GM.

This screen is built well. it's thick like a monopoly board. You could seriously beat some one with it. It's got all your standard game charts and tables. It's very sturdy.

The second half of this volume is focused on three particular applications of knot theory. Louis Kauffman discusses applications of knot theory to physics, Nadrian Seeman discusses how topology is used in DNA nanotechnology, and Jonathan Simon discusses the statistical and energetic properties of knots and their relation to molecular biology.

This is not a "compassionate work"- it promotes mind control.

A slow and steady manipulation.
This author had a very strong desire to affirm and promote homosexuality.He formed an ideology in his head of how the world should work and assumed it was his destiny to impose his ideology on America in order to set everything right.Marshall Kirk was a manipulative operator a man filled with hatred who had very little sympathetic/empathetic understanding- he couldnt 'fully' comprehend why "straights" (as he terms them) reject deviations from the society norm.The author seems to be driven by emotion and revenge he advocates the use of strategically coordinated propaganda and he rationalizes the use of (unethical) mind control methods.He wanted to hurt his society as they had hurt him- give "straights" a taste of their own medicine and due to his narcissistic pathology he felt well within his rights to do so.This author of this book outlines the use of various subtle psychological coercion techniques that violate the basic right to free thought.This book was an extremely difficult read because the writings and the author had such a hostile energy.

A Marketing Plan

After the Ball appears to have been the seminal blueprint for the gay rights movement in the US. Kirk and Madsen lay out their strategy - which has worked quite well - for converting the culture to one that was primary antagonistic toward gays, at the time of their writing, to one that is now much more accepting. I say it worked well, since we are now talking about same-sex marriage with nearly 1/2 the population being on board.

The thing that disturbed me a bit, was that their strategies were based more on marketing concepts rather than arguments from logic. This seems to leave some potential for regression unless the logic portions can be strengthened over time.

Milkers to Millionaires - But Not Very Erotic

This story starts well, but declines about one third of the way in. Several friends in a group of lesbians share a kink that it would be sexually exciting to be milked. Their other friends assist in them fulfilling their fantasy by acquiring a stimulant that increases their lactation. Up till then, it is fairly erotic. But then the activity of the manufacturer of the stimulant takes over the story. From that point on, the story is all about his efforts to grow the company's profits. Bellum seems more interested in telling a story of how a firm selling breast milk and a sexual stimulant, derived from female cum, turns from a small firm into a mega company. Who gets promoted, what role they play, how luxurious their living arrangement are, whom they marry, how many children they have, etc come to dominate the tale. All of the eroticism disappears.

Just a few decades ago, South Korea was an agrarian country, a backwater of international business. The average life span was 47 years, the average per capita annual income less than a hundred dollars a year. By the end of the 20th century, Korea had risen to become the world's 11th largest economy, the eighth largest trading partner of the U.S., and a global leader in construction, semiconductors, shipbuilding, and steel production. Steers, a University of Oregon business professor who has written two previous books on Korean business issues, believes that a big part of that country's rise is good old-fashioned entrepreneurship. What Americans admire so much about Bill Gates and Phil Knight--the vision, the tenacity, the refusal to back down--is actually found all over the world. In Korea, it's best personified by Chung Ju Yung, who created the Hyundai Business Group. By the time Chung retired in 1991, Hyundai accounted for 16 percent of Korea's gross domestic product and 12 percent of its total exports.

Chung founded Hyundai (it means modern in Korean) in 1946 as a car-repair company, then quickly moved into the construction business. He became the U.S. Army's favorite contractor during the Korean War, and, afterwards, expanded Hyundai's ventures to include electronics, shipbuilding, oil refining, securities and investments, and automobiles. Almost any businessperson can draw lessons from Chung's success. Some of his management tactics would be considered extreme today--he once hiked through the woods in the middle of the night, waking up workers at a construction site to check on their progress--but his ability to seize business opportunities, forge alliances with the prevailing powers, and deliver upon promises made is certainly inspirational. --Lou Schuler

This book is EXTREMELY DETAILED and chronicles the RISE of HYUNDAI through the leadership of CHUNG JU YUNG. It is a FASCINATING ACCOUNT of how one man founded an INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL and INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED INDUSTRIAL CONGLOMERATE out of the ashes of World War 2.

Wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed this account of Chung Ju Yung's life and the rise of Hyundai. The son of impoverished farmers, Chung managed to build the world's largest shipbuilding company, create a competitive Korean automobile, and sped the development of South Korea into one of the world's foremost economies--all with little more than sweat and determination!
Steers does a great job of detailing Chung's personal and business character, along with providing a detailed history of the growth of Hyundai in the larger context of the Korean economy. I highly recommend it!

Simply Amazing

I had heard of Chung Ju Yung from a Korean fiend of mine. While I was going through the lows of my job, this book has motivated me to start my own business soon. The dipiction of one of the greatest entrepreneurs ever is so life-like that it would excite and thrill not just entrepreneurs but ordinary people. I am now reading it the second time and like every moment of it. It gives me goose bumps when I read about how this great man got someone else's money and technology to build ships with no prior experience of his own only to know that the orders would get cancelled upon completion! How one could lose all that he has and yet conclude that he could do anything if he put in his mind, soul and hard work into it. This story of an extraordinary entrepreneur who defied all textbook rules of business is a MUST read for westerners and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Lavishly illustrated picture of the Ancien Regime

This tells us a lot about Jefferson, incidentally showing in his day-to-day life the confluences and contradictions that enriched his own life and the American soul for a couple of centuries afterwards. It also gives a vivid picture of Paris in the years leading up to the French Revolution. The seller filled the order rapidly and described the book's condition accurately. I'm happy to have it.

About the Author
Linda Hatch has had a long career in clinical psychology including teaching, research, student counseling, child psychology and crisis intervention. In addition she worked for many years through the court system evaluating sex offenders, sexually violent predators and mentally ill offenders. In recent years her work has been in the field of trauma and addiction. Linda is the author of the Kindle book Living with a Sex Addict: The Basics from Crisis to Recovery. She devotes considerable time to her writing which includes blogging on her regular column on PsychCentral.com as well as on her own web site. Linda lives in Santa Barbara, California with her husband, their border collie Perry and their cat Clara.

Practical guide for relationships

Many therapists and recovering people have long known that successful individual recovery doesn't necessarily translate into successful relationship recovery. Dr. Hatch offers a clear and practical guide for translating basic recovery principles into foundations for approaching healthy relationships. This book fills a much need gap in the recovery literature.

From Sex Addiction to Intimacy

Relationships in Recovery offers much needed relationship solutions for those recovering from sexual addiction. In SAA meetings, participants often seem to pine for finding the right partner. In keeping with the Twelve Step ideal of "cleaning up our side of the street," Dr. Hatch emphasizes doing our part to become a better partner. In particular, she offers suggestions for knowing when we are ready to date.

In particular, the author has us take a look at all the things we want in a partner--then does something challenging: has us ask how we ourselves rate in these areas, and then helps set a course in becoming this type of person. In my own recovery experience, when I've felt centered, and not necessarily looking for someone, then an opportunistic meeting has often happened. Dr. Hatch then lays the groundwork for setting goals around improving in each of these areas, as well as setting healthy boundaries for relationships to come.

This books looks to be a much needed guide in relationship recovery for those of who want to change their relationship aspirations from If only... to What's the plan?

A must-have book for the recovering addict!!

Finally - a book to fulfill an important niche - that of the recovering sex addict who is single or would like to get a new start in his or her existing marriage or primary relationship. With the help of clear explanations and relevant exercises Dr. Hatch describes the preparatory work the addict needs to do, how to avoid falling back into old patterns, and what to aim for, expect, and bring about in a healthy relationship. The "Meditations for Relationships" section is the icing on the cake, a gift and a guide for every person in relationship. I highly recommended this very useful book.
